Hi, and thank you for your interest in Skyla Counselling. My name is Kirsty, and I specialise in working with individuals who are struggling with issues of self-image, self-confidence, and a diminished sense of worth. I also have a particular focus on supporting those experiencing anxiety, depression, and the emotional and physical changes of menopause. My goal is to help you rediscover your unique strengths, inherent value, and a renewed sense of well-being.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a respected professional body that upholds clear ethical and professional standards. I have also completed additional training in online and telephone counselling, enabling me to offer flexible support to those who find it challenging to attend face-to-face sessions in Tewkesbury.
My experience of working with clients was enriched by volunteering with the Gloucestershire counselling agency, Essential Space, where I worked with many individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and poor self-image. I also volunteered at Young Gloucestershire, supporting young people aged 18-25 through life transitions, helping them cope with difficult emotions such as anger, loneliness, and feelings of not belonging.
In addition to my counselling work, I practice mindfulness and enjoy being creative. I integrate these skills into my sessions when appropriate, helping to foster a calm, reflective space for healing and growth. I also have a personal love for collecting earrings.
Please get in touch if you would like to take the first step in your counselling journey with me. I look forward to supporting you as you work through challenges and embrace your full potential.
