Face to Face or Online Therapy?

I offer both face-to-face counselling in Tewkesbury and online counselling, giving you the flexibility to choose the way of working that feels most comfortable and manageable for you.

Both options offer the same 50-minute counselling sessions and the opportunity to build a consistent therapeutic relationship. The main difference is where we meet.

Face-to-Face Counselling in Tewkesbury

Face-to-face sessions take place at Reflection Rooms in Tewkesbury town centre, in a private, comfortable counselling room.

For some people, having a dedicated place to come to counselling helps create a clear separation from everyday life. Being together in the same room also means we can naturally communicate through conversation, facial expression, tone and body language.

Face-to-face counselling may suit you if you:

  • Prefer meeting your counsellor in person

  • Find it easier to talk when you're away from home

  • Value having a clear boundary between counselling and everyday life

  • Live in Tewkesbury or the surrounding area and can travel to the practice

Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly, at a consistent time, and last 50 minutes.

Online Counselling

Online counselling allows you to have your sessions from a private space of your choice, using a secure video platform.

For some people, being at home makes counselling easier to fit around work, family or other commitments. It can also be a useful option if you live further away, have mobility difficulties, or find travelling difficult.

Online counselling may suit you if you:

  • Prefer the convenience of staying at home

  • Live outside Tewkesbury

  • Have a private, comfortable space where you can talk freely

  • Find travelling difficult or prefer not to add travel to your day

  • Want greater flexibility around your location

Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly, at a consistent time, and last 50 minutes. I'll provide everything you need to connect, and we can make sure you're comfortable with the technology before we begin.

Which is right for you?

There isn't a right or wrong choice. Some people prefer the experience of coming to a counselling room, while others find that online sessions work better for their circumstances or simply feel more comfortable.

The most important thing is finding a way of working that you can engage with regularly and that feels right for you.

If you're unsure which option would suit you, we can talk it through during your free 15–20 minute introductory call. It's an opportunity to ask questions, get a feel for how I work and decide what feels like the best fit — with no pressure to commit.
